Epithalon
Epithalon
Also known as: Epitalon, Epithalone, AGAG, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly
Overview
Key Facts
Primary Goal: Research and therapeutic applications of Epithalon
Activates telomerase enzyme (hTERT) to extend telomere length. Stimulates pineal gland melatonin production for circadian rhythm regulation.
Dosing Information
~2-3 hours
5–10 mg
Once daily for 10-20 day cycles
10-20 days on, 4-6 months off
Benefits
- Activates telomerase to lengthen telomeres
- Regulates neuroendocrine system and melatonin production
- Supports immune function and T-cell activity
- Potential lifespan extension (demonstrated in animal models)
- Improved sleep quality via pineal gland support
Side Effects
Mechanism of Action
Activates telomerase enzyme (hTERT) to extend telomere length
Stimulates pineal gland melatonin production for circadian rhythm regulation
Modulates gene expression related to cellular senescence
Enhances antioxidant defence enzymes (SOD, catalase)
Contraindications
Do not use this peptide if any of the following apply:
- Active cancer (telomerase activation could theoretically promote tumour growth)
- Autoimmune conditions without medical supervision
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
Storage & Reconstitution
Unreconstituted (Powder)
Reconstituted (Mixed)
Research Summary
Developed by Professor Vladimir Khavinson at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, epithalon has been studied for over 35 years. Animal studies demonstrated a 13.7% increase in lifespan in mice and significant telomere elongation in human cell cultures. A 15-year observational study in elderly patients showed improved immune function, cardiovascular health, and endocrine balance. While promising, large-scale human RCTs are still lacking.
